 Zirconia (ZrO2)
Zirconia is a traditional refractory material. Y2O3 stabilized Zirconia ( TZP ) has the highest strength and toughness at room temperature of all the advanced ceramic materials. The fine grain size allows for extremely smooth surfaces and sharp edges. The material has low thermal conductivity.Applications include engine components, rollers and guides for metal tube forming, thread and wire guides, split sleeve for fiber Optic Adaptor and wear plates.

shock. Zirconia crucible is ideal for the melting of precious metals and super-alloys. Zirconia crucibles are available in many sizes and shapes

 

Zirconia Crucible:
Abstract: Zirconia exhibits high melting point, good electric conductivity and corrosion resistance. Even at 1900, it still has good chemical inertness, 
and can not react with molten aluminum, iron, nickel, platinum, silicates, acid slag and so on. Therefore, it can be used as crucible of smelting 
precious metals, refractory tube, refractory glass, refractory enamel, etc. The SICCAS have manufactured calcium stabilized zirconia crucible using 
injection molding process for many years, and also provide zirconia crucible with different size and shape.

Major Features: Zirconia crucible has high melting point (2700), good corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and excellent high temperature
 chemical stability, which make it ideal refractory material product.

Applications: Smelting precious metals and rare metal (Pt, Au, etc.)

Magnesium Oxide Crucible:
Abstract: Magnesium Oxide is widely used in chemical, food, medicine, electric industry. Besides, Magnesium Oxide brick and crucible also play an
 important role in smelting steel alloy and high temperature alloy due to its good chemical inertness. Recently, SICCAS has researched the Magnesium 
Oxide ceramic and successfully fabricated Magnesium Oxide product. Duo to the good thermal conductivity and molted salt corrosion resistance, the 
Magnesium O
xide Ceramic was used in smelting precious and metals. The SICCAS have manufactured a series of Magnesium Oxide Crucible 
using injection molding and isostatic pressing process, and widely used in the metallurgy and industry.

Major Features: Magnesium Oxide has high melting point (2800), good corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and excellent high temperature
 chemical stability, which make it ideal refractory material product.

Applications: Smelting metals and alloys (Rear metal, Zn, Cu, Pb, metal, etc.)

Yttria Crucible:

Abstract: Yttriaexhibits high melting point, high thermal conductivity, good physical and chemical stability, and wide

optical transparent area. Therefore, it was widely used in smelting active metals, such as Ti in the form of crucible or

crucible protective coating. The SICCAS have manufactured a series of magnesium oxide crucible using isostatic

pressing process. And the products receive lot of good response.

Major Features: Due to the good physical and chemical stability, Yttria was commonly used in the active metal smelting.

Property: Porosity: 2.0 ± 0.5%

Bulk density: 4.8 ± 0.1g/cm3

Calcium Zirconate Crucible:

Abstract: Calcium zirconate exhibits high melting point, low thermal conductivity and special electric property, which make it good high temperature structure and functional material.
Major Features: Smelting metals and alloys under high temperature or molten salts.
Property: Porosity: 6.0 ± 1.0%
Bulk density: 4.8 ± 0.2g/cm3
Bending strength: 60 ± 10 MPa
Thermal shock resistance: ≥ 15 times

Barium Zirconate Crucible:

Abstract: Bariumzirconate exhibits high melting point, low thermal conductivity and excellent physical and chemical properties, which make it good high temperature structure and functional material.

Major Features: Special chemical vessel, smelting metals vessel under molten salts.

Property: Porosity: 4.0 ± 1.0%

Al2O3:
Alumina is the most widely used advanced ceramic material. It offers very good performance in terms of wear resistance, corrosion and strength at a reasonable price. Its high dielectric properties are beneficial in electronic products.
Alpha phase alumina is one of the strongest and stiffest of oxide ceramics. H’s high hardness, excellent dielectric properties, refractoriness and good thermal properties make it popular in a wide range of applications.
The composition of the ceramic body can be changed to enhance particular desirable material characteristics. An example would be additions of chrome oxide or manganese oxide to improve hardness or change color.
